ODALYS – this is a real melting pot of styles and musicians from all over the world – wonderful "world music", yet at the same time shaped in a very personal way by the German lyrics of Birgit van Straelen, the bandleader, percussionist and singer of ODALYS. Guitarist Claudio La Vega from Argentina, who has also worked with Mark King (LEVEL 42), co-wrote the 13 songs which are strongly influenced by African and Latin-American music. Catchy melodies are combined with great intensity and vivacious soli, featuring British guitarist Colin Weavill. The rhythm section is completed by Andi Jäckle (bass player from Stuttgart) and the great African drummer Billy Leo Keita (who used to play with MORY KANTE). This is exceptional music – for exceptional listeners!
